Adelie acquires Superior Food Group
26 February 2007

McQueen advised Adelie Food Holdings on its acquisition of the Superior Food Group, a supplier of prepared fruit, vegetable and salad products, primarily to airline caterers at Heathrow and other large UK airports. Superior operates two factories in London and has an annual turnover of around £30 million.

The acquisition provides Adelie with an entry into the prepared fruit market as well as strengthening its position in snack salads and dips-to-go products.

Adelie Food Holdings was created in 2006 through the acquisition of Buckingham Foods, Thomas Foods and Food Partners, and prior to the acquisition of Superior had an annual turnover of around £150 million.
